Demonstration in front of the German parliament building to protest against barriers in general and against a new law for the participation of people with disabilities in the parliamentary process.
Description
On May 11, 2016, activists chained themselves near the Basic Law plaques at the Bundestag to protest against the first draft bill for a Federal Participation Act. What the governing parties call a "milestone" is far from being a good participation law for many people with disabilities. Under the keyword #NichtMeinGesetz, activists are calling for a protest: "The draft bill does not go far enough in meeting the demands of people with disabilities, and even threatens to make things worse. Some can save in the future more than 2,600 euro, but those, which are dependent also on assistance to the care, are kept still poor , explain Raul Krauthausen, one of the initiators of the protest.
