Assistance dogs for people with disabilities
Description
Assistance dogs (also called disabled assistance dogs, rehabilitation dogs or rehab dogs) are specifically trained to provide permanent support to a person with a chronic impairment. They have learned to act independently. They live permanently with their human and enable a more mobile and independent life in a lifelong team. This distinguishes them from therapy dogs, which are only used for a limited time and are guided.Assistance dogs provide practical help, signal health crises, and help by working closely in a team with their human. The photos were taken in cooperation with the Pfotenpiloten e.V. 一 Stiftung Assistenzhund i.Gr. www.PfotenPiloten.org ++ on 05.09.2017 in Berlin (Berlin).
