Accessible internet access for people with visual impairment
Description
Heiko Kunert sits in front of his laptop, which is equipped with assistive technologies for blind and visually impaired people. With the help of screen reader software, which converts the screen content so that it can be output by artificial speech output and also on a Braille display, he and other people with visual impairments gain access not only to the PC but also to the smartphone. A Braille display is a narrow device that lies below the keyboard and on which text in Braille appears line by line.
