Raul Krauthausen - activist and founder of SOZIALHELDEN


An inclusion activist and founder of Sozialhelden, Raúl Krauthausen studied communications and has been working in the Internet and media world for over 15 years.Raúl Krauthausen is in a wheelchair. He was born in Peru, attended school in Germany, graduated from high school in 2001 and then worked as an online concept developer at apparat Multimedia GmbH, argonauten_G2 GmbH and NEUE DIGITALE GmbH. In 2002, he began studying social and business communication at the UdK Berlin. In 2004, he and his cousin Jan Mörsch founded the activist network Sozialhelden e.V. (Social Heroes), which aims to raise awareness of social problems and encourage people to rethink their approach. In addition to the classic project management and strategic tasks he holds, he represents the currently 15 Sozialhelden projects and their vision to the outside world. Raúl Krauthausen also speaks at various events on topics that concern him. Since 2015, he has also hosted his own regular talk show on the topics of culture and inclusion on Sport1, "KRAUTHAUSEN - face to face" for the Working Group on Disability and Media. He has also developed web video productions for, ZDF, Sozialverband Deutschland and the Federal Agency for Civic Education, among others. Furthermore, he publishes a weekly newsletter with articles on the topics of inclusion and innovation. Since the end of 2019, Krauthausen has been co-creating a podcast as part of the social hero project "Die Neue Norm" (The New Norm).In April 2013, Raúl Krauthausen received the Federal Cross of Merit for his social commitment and in 2018 he was awarded the Grimme Online Award for "personal achievement".
